Villa Park is very meaningful for me, but I am just biased =)

Islamic Foundation Logo

No, in all seriousness though Villa Park Islamic Center Masjid; or Islamic Foundation (I.F.) as it is known, holds it down! They offer weekend school, regular school and a completely certified and successful high School.

The I.F.is a very big Mosque with great parking. It is a GREAT place where you can feel the Islamic Ummah with Qiyam’s during Ramadan, Five daily prayer services
Two Friday (Jum’a) Prayer sessions (12:05 & 1:05 pm)
Full-Time Islamic School (Preschool to 12th Grade)
Weekend Schools (Saturday & Sunday School)

Qur’an and Arabic learning for sisters and brothers, a room upstairs near the women area with space for young ones and their mothers to watch them as to not interrupt the other others which allows the moms to be able to come out as well. Financial Assistance applications for those in need , an In center Islamic bookstore, Imam offices, a full basement for events or community use and many other services. I have met and know of Great Muslims doing big things for the community from this Mosque.

There is also a brother over there doing big things, he hosts events with the youth preparing them InshaAllah to carry the Islam for tomorrow when it’s their turn.

On-Going Da’wah activities, and programs for new Muslims and non-Muslim and a growing ethnically diverse Muslim population.

They are located at

Hello world!

In Uncategorized on January 24, 2010 at 10:19 pm

(UNDER CONSTRUCTIONI am still in the process of getting everything and all the info switched over please be patient)

I made a site for local (or not so local) events, speeches, Mosques, and other Islamic happenings around Illinois. However, the ads on the site weren’t all appealing so a friend suggested word press and here I am =)

BismiaAllah which means with the blessings of, under the guidance of, as an instrument of, with the support of, or for the glory of God.

My goal is just to try to get as many events, speeches, information on Mosques, prayer center, and gatherings as possible in the Illinois area.

I’m looking for it to be geared mostly to and for Muslims, however I would also LOVE to have events or Dawah like events/speeches or inter-religious dialogue as well for those non Muslims interested in Islam as well.

I can’t do it alone, as I am only a lone Muslim so send me your Mosque/Prayer center address and name and their events, your gatherings, events, shopping places, MSA events, sister or brother gatherings and any other Islamic related events, happenings, or gatherings.

Let’s show the lonely Muslims we are ONE Ummah, there is somewhere to go and Muslims who care.

Please e mail me ideas or events at

IslaminIllinois@yahoo.com
